Bacoor City, Cavite – The City Government of Bacoor, led by Mayor Strike B. Revilla, hosted a momentous Flag Raising Ceremony on April 21, 2025, at the Strike Gymnasium. The event, organized by the City Planning and Development Coordinating (CPDC) Office in partnership with the Asosasyon ng Barangay Secretary (ABS), highlighted the city’s dedication to national unity and progress.
The ceremony commenced with opening prayers offered by the Bacoor City Transformation Office, followed by the entrance of the color guard, composed of personnel from the Philippine National Police (PNL) Bacoor. The Bacoor Unity Band rendered the Philippine National Anthem, setting the tone for a patriotic celebration.
Key officials, including Mayor Revilla, Sangguniang Panglungsod Members, and Team Revilla, were present for the ceremony. Significant moments included the recitation of the Panunumpa sa Watawat ng Pilipinas by Sec. Arlene Ramos, the Panunumpa ng Lingkod Bayan by Ms. Marjorie San Jose, and the Panata sa Bagong Pilipinas by Ms. Grachelle Siassoco. Ms. Noemi Ambrocio delivered the Quality Policy Statement, emphasizing the city’s commitment to excellence.
Adding to the celebratory atmosphere, students from Bayanan Elementary School and Divine Light Academy presented a vibrant AVP showcasing the Bagong Pilipinas, Cavite Hymn, and Bacoor Hymn.
Hon. Alde Pagulayan, City Councilor from District 2, gave an inspiring opening remarks. The ceremony also featured a presentation and awarding of the winning team from the “ABE ABE TAMU 2025 Pampanga Pff Qualifying National PickleBall Tournament,” and recognized Ms. Cristy Sañosa for her achievement in the All Women’s Sports Awards 2025.
In a demonstration of pride and support, the Philippine Sports Commission presented three distinguished athletes: Mr. Johann Chua (2x World Champion 2025, World Rank #6), Mr. James Aranas (World Champion 2025, World Rank #44), and Mr. Jeffrey Ignacio (Major Champion, World Rank #37).
The CPDC, headed by Ms. Rowena Alcantara, presented its Accomplishment Report, followed by presentations on the Barangay Development Plan (BDP) and Climate Disaster Risk Assessment (CDRA). Mr. Michael R. Lavadia, OIC-Assistant Regional Director of the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) 4A, delivered a powerful guest speaker message.
A captivating intermission number was presented by the CPDC staff and ABS, leading to the highly anticipated special message from Mayor Revilla, who highlighted the city’s weekly accomplishment report.
The Flag Raising Ceremony concluded with a sense of unity, optimism, and unwavering commitment to the progress of Bacoor City.
