Bacoor City, December 19, 2024 – The Office for the Development of the Cooperatives (COOP) and the Cavite Province Federation of Transport Cooperatives (CPFedTraC) hosted a Transport Forum today to discuss the Public Transport Modernization Program (PTMP). The forum brought together CPFedTraC officers and members, key stakeholders in the transport sector, and government officials to discuss the implementation of the PTMP in Bacoor.
The forum featured a video message from Mayor Strike B. Revilla, who emphasized the importance of modernizing public transport in Bacoor to improve the lives of commuters and boost the city’s economic growth. Speakers included Vicenta M. Lazaro, head of COOP; Hon. Loumer P. Bernabe, Regional Director of Region 4 (LTFTB); Hon. Reymundo De Guzman, Office of the Transportation Cooperatives; Hon. Orlando Marquez, National President (LTOP); and Ms. Khai Javier Sanchez, LEDIPO Head and Spokesperson of Mayor Strike B. Revilla.
The forum provided a platform for open discussions on the PTMP, including its benefits, challenges, and opportunities for collaboration. Participants shared their insights and experiences, highlighting the need for a comprehensive and collaborative approach to ensure the successful implementation of the program.
The forum concluded with a call for continued collaboration between the government, transport cooperatives, and stakeholders to ensure a safe, efficient, and modern public transport system in Cavite.
