July 22, 2024 – The City Government of Bacoor held a meaningful flag-raising ceremony today at the Bacoor Strike Gymnasium, Bacoor Government Center. Hosted by the Bacoor Traffic Management Department (BTMD) and the Tricycle Operators and Drivers Association (TODA), the event celebrated civic pride, community achievements, and featured inspiring messages from city leaders and guests.
City Councilor Adriel Gawaran of Bacoor – District 1, opened the ceremony by highlighting the city’s ongoing initiatives and accomplishments. The ceremony also recognized local talents and achievers, including Zayn Akilah C. Desuacido, a bronze medalist in Kumite (6-7 years old category) at the 3rd Shureido International Karate Cup 2024, and Rein Lynard Rodriguez, who won gold in Kumite (12-13 years old category).
Ms. Rosela Ybañez from Barangay Habay 1 was celebrated for graduating magna cum laude from Arellano University. Members of the Malasakit Sa Bawat Residente (MSBR) Operation were also honored with certificates of recognition for their dedication to maintaining peace and order in Bacoor.
Guest speaker PCol. Ritchie Claravall, Chief of the Operations Management Department of the Highway Patrol Group, delivered an inspiring message emphasizing community collaboration for safety and progress.
An Audio-Visual Presentation (AVP) showcased the BTMD’s efforts and successes in traffic management and public safety, led by Ms. Leslie Dianne Morales. The City of Bacoor was also awarded various accolades from the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) in categories such as Peace and Order, Anti-Drug Abuse Council (ADAC), Local Council for the Protection of Children (LCPC), Manila Bay, and Fisheries and Coastal Resource Management (FishCA).
The event featured a cultural intermission performed by TODA members, enforcers, and BTMD staff, highlighting the community’s unity and creativity. Mayor Strike B. Revilla concluded the ceremony by expressing his gratitude for the continued support and dedication to the city’s growth and development.
