Bacoor City, December 9, 2024 – The City Government of Bacoor, led by Mayor Strike B. Revilla, hosted a momentous Flag Raising Ceremony today, a vibrant display of unity, excellence, and service that brought together various departments, agencies, and organizations. The ceremony, held at the Strike Gymnasium, commenced with an opening prayer led by Pastora Ana Toxas from the City Transportation Office. The entrance of colors by BFP Bacoor personnel set the stage for a patriotic atmosphere. The Philippine National Anthem was performed by the Bacoor Unity Band, followed by the Oath to the Philippine Flag led by Atty. Marius Sumira, the Oath of Public Service by Atty. Salve F. Valenciano, and the Pledge to a New Philippines by Atty. Nathaniel C. De Leon.
The ceremony showcased the City Government’s commitment to excellence, with the Quality Policy Statement delivered by Atty. Rey Marco Mendoza. The CAVSU Bacoor Choir and Bacoor Unity Band filled the air with inspiring renditions of “Bagong Pilipinas,” the Cavite Hymn, and the Bacoor Hymn. Hon. Reynaldo Palabrica, City Councilor – District 2, delivered the opening remarks, highlighting the importance of unity and collaboration in achieving the city’s goals.
The event also celebrated the achievements of Bacoor City in various fields. The ceremony recognized the outstanding achievements of Bacoor City athletes in the Kurash and Wushu events at the Batang Pinoy 2024 held in Puerto Princesa, Palawan. The Bacoor City Department of Tourism and Cultural Affairs received the Exemplary Governance award for the Tourist sector for the year 2024 from the Provincial Government of Cavite. The Save Manila Bay Bacoor Task Force was awarded Gold at the Provincial Level (99.70%) and 2nd Place at the Regional Level for their efforts in environmental protection. The Office of the City Agriculture received the Platinum Awardee for a 100% rating in the Fishery Compliance Audit 2024. The Bacoor City Office of the Population Department secured 2nd Place for Institutionalizing and fully implementing the Key Strategies of the Philippine Population & Development Plan of Action for the (PPP-POA) 2023-2028. Ms. Emilie De Castro was recognized for her Outstanding Dedication and Exemplary Effort. Mayor Strike B. Revilla received a Plaque of Recognition from the Department of Health for the “Treatment & Rehabilitation Center Bicutan.”
The ceremony also featured the presentation of Pangkabuhayan Packages to formerly PDLs from the Bacoor City Jail Male Dormitory by DOLE. Firearms were turned over to the Male and Female Dormitories of the BJMP. Financial assistance was distributed to 300 beneficiaries from Barangay Sinbanali. The City of Bacoor received various awards for its accomplishments. The Office of the City Legal Service, headed by Atty. Kim Nyca R. Lofrangco, presented an audio-visual report of their accomplishments. Atty. Andre D. Ignacio, President of the Cavite Chapter of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP), delivered a special message.
The event concluded with a special message from Mayor Strike B. Revilla, highlighting the city’s commitment to progress and service. The Flag Raising Ceremony served as a powerful reminder of the shared values and aspirations of the Bacoor community, demonstrating a collective spirit of unity and dedication to building a brighter future for all.
