Bacoor City, July 7, 2025 — The Office of the City Health Services (OCHS), in collaboration with the City Government of Bacoor led by Mayor Strike B. Revilla and Vice Mayor Rowena Bautista Mendiola, held a Flag Raising Ceremony at Strike Gymnasium. The event was attended by Mayor Revilla, Vice Mayor Mendiola, members of the Sangguniang Panglungsod, city officials, and community representatives.
The program commenced with opening prayers led by the City Transformation Office, followed by the entrance of colors performed by Bacoor Fire Protection personnel. The Bacoor Unity Band rendered the Philippine National Anthem, setting a solemn tone. Youth representatives Ms. Fairy Grace Mendez and Ms. Valeriana Jalique III led the Panunumpa sa Watawat ng Pilipinas and Panunumpa ng Lingkod Bayan, respectively, while Dr. Marie Grace Tela delivered the Panata sa Bagong Pilipinas. Mr. Paul Christopher Bagaoisan presented the Quality Policy Statement, and students from Queenrow Elementary School performed an audiovisual presentation featuring Bagong Pilipinas, the Cavite Hymn, and the Bacoor Hymn.
Hon. Reynaldo Palabrica, City Councilor from District 2, delivered the opening remarks. The program included an intermission number by Kap Jeffrey Zumba Organizers. Outstanding students were recognized with Latin Honors awards: John Miguel R. Ricalde, Syrel Miguel A. Capule, Jenika R. Salapar, and Earl John R. Guiveces (Cum Laude); Catherine Mae S. Caleon and Maxine Nicole A. Capule (Magna Cum Laude); and Christine Claire B. Bigayan (Cum Laude and recipient of the Golden Leaf Award).
Certificates of Appreciation were presented to PESO Bacoor and the Local Government Unit for their support of the Labor Market Information Campaign. The BJMP Bacoor Male and Female Dormitories were honored as “Drug Free Dormitories” by the Oversight Committee for Drug Clearing of Controlled Facilities for Persons Deprived of Liberty. A ceremonial distribution of financial assistance was held for relocatee informal settler families, and first aid kits were turned over to DepEd Bacoor for installation in all 1,390 public school classrooms throughout the city to enhance student safety and preparedness.
An audiovisual presentation showcased the accomplishments of the Office of the City Health Services, led by Dra. Iva Marie Yrastorza. The event’s guest speaker, Dr. Voltaire Guadalupe, OIC Regional Director of DOH Region IV-A, delivered an inspiring message highlighting the importance of health programs and community collaboration.
The ceremony concluded with a special message and weekly accomplishment report from Mayor Strike B. Revilla, reaffirming the city government’s commitment to public health, safety, and continuous development. An intermission number performed by OCHS staff added energy and camaraderie to the event.
