Bacoor City, January 24, 2025 – The City Government of Bacoor, led by Mayor Strike B. Revilla and Vice Mayor Rowena Bautista Mendiola, continued its “Kalinga sa Matanda” initiative last Friday at the Bacoor Coliseum, extending its care and appreciation to senior citizens from Barangays Mambog 1 and Mambog 2. The event was organized through the City Social Welfare and Development (CSWD) Department headed by Mrs. Emiliana Ugalde and the Office of Senior Citizens Affairs (OSCA) headed by Atty. Venus De Castro.
The event, which gathered senior citizen presidents and over 1,965 senior citizens from Barangays Mambog 1 (1,040) and Mambog 2 (925), was graced by Councilors Rey Palabrica, Bok Nolasco, Rey Fabian, Simplicio Dominguez, Mr. Horacio Brilliantes, and OSCA head Atty. Venus De Castro.
The event served as a testament to the City Government’s dedication to recognizing and honoring the contributions of senior citizens to the community. The “Kalinga sa Matanda” initiative reflects the city’s commitment to providing a supportive and caring environment for its elderly residents, ensuring their well-being and promoting their active participation in community life.
