Bacoor City, February 23, 2025 – The City Government of Bacoor, led by Mayor Strike B. Revilla and Vice Mayor Rowena Bautista Mendiola, held a vibrant Flag Raising Ceremony at the Strike Gymnasium, showcasing the city’s commitment to environmental protection, community empowerment, and national pride.
The ceremony, organized by the City Environment Service Department and Strike Kapuso Ladies, brought together a diverse group of participants including City employees, DILG family, PNP/BFP/BJMP/BTMD, DepEd Bacoor, OSCA Members, PWDs, NGOs, and 4P’s members.
The event featured a series of inspiring performances and presentations, including the entrance of colors by BFP Bacoor personnel, the Philippine National Anthem performed by the Bacoor Unity, and the Pledge of Allegiance led by Strike Kapuso Ladies President Rowena Jupson. Engr. Mark Renson Villalobos led the Pledge of the Public Servant, followed by Engr. Allan Vincent E. Alcala’s recitation of the Pledge to the New Philippines. Ms. Jennifer Arevalo presented the Quality Policy Statement, while the Niog Elementary School performed the Bagong Pilipinas, Cavite Hymn, and Bacoor Hymn.
The ceremony also recognized the achievements of several outstanding Bacooreños, including Ms. Margaret Eian H. Mendoza, a Magna Cum Laude graduate from Barangay Habay 1, and an international winner in the Mathematical Science Olympiad and Exhibitions for Young Inventors. Other awardees included Via Penelope C. Reyes, Ethan Miguel S. Aguirre, Ace Cyrus R. Mapanao, and Carl Earnest S. Redaja, all of whom have brought honor to the city through their achievements. Ms. Natsumi Berdan Sekiguschi, representing Bacoor City in the Miss Universe Philippines 2025, was also presented to the audience.
Sec. Robert E.A. Borje, Vice Chairperson and Executive Director of the Climate Change Commission of the Philippines, delivered an inspiring message that further emphasized the importance of environmental sustainability and community engagement. The event concluded with a special message from Mayor Strike B. Revilla, highlighting the city’s weekly accomplishments and a photo opportunity with the Bacoor Strikers Pickleball Team.
The Flag Raising Ceremony served as a powerful reminder of the City Government of Bacoor’s dedication to environmental sustainability, community development, and fostering a sense of pride and unity among its residents.
