Bacoor City, December 16, 2024 – The City Government of Bacoor, led by Mayor Strike B. Revilla, celebrated National Flag Day with a grand ceremony at the Strike Gymnasium. The event, organized by the City Budget Office and the Liga ng Barangay, brought together city officials, employees, and representatives from various sectors to commemorate the significance of the Philippine Flag and highlight the city’s accomplishments.
The ceremony featured a series of patriotic activities, including the entrance of the colors by BFP Bacoor personnel, the rendition of the Philippine National Anthem by the St. Christopher Band of Barangay Niog, and the recitation of the Panunumpa sa Watawat ng Pilipinas led by Kapitana Vivian Ramirez. City Councilor Rogelio “BOK” Nolasco delivered the opening remarks, emphasizing the importance of patriotism and unity.
The event also showcased the City Government’s commitment to its constituents through various initiatives. Financial incentives were distributed to 21 Latin Honors Awardees, while a check worth 200 thousand pesos was presented to the Federation of Senior Citizens and the Federation of PWDs. Three centenarians also received 100 thousand pesos each. The City Budget Office, led by Ms. Elvie Guerero, presented an audio-visual presentation highlighting their accomplishments.
The City Government also donated equipment to the BJMP, including a Visitors Identification System for the Bacoor City Jail Male Dormitory, a desktop computer set, TV monitor, printer, web-cam, barcode scanner, and other essential items.
Dr. Rosalie C. De La Paz, President of the League of Local Budget – CALABARZON, delivered a special video message, followed by a closing message from Mayor Strike B. Revilla. The ceremony concluded with a renewed sense of unity and pride in the City of Bacoor, emphasizing the commitment to serving the community and achieving progress.
