Bacoor City, October 11, 2024 – The City of Bacoor today hosted the grand celebration of Cavite Cooperative Month 2024, showcasing the city’s dedication to cooperative development and highlighting the vital role cooperatives play in the province’s economic growth.
Organized by the Office for the Development of Cooperatives (COOP), led by Ms. Vicenta M. Lazaro, the event was graced by the present of Mayor Strike B. Revilla, Vice Mayor Rowena Bautista Mendiola, Congresswoman Lani Mercado Revilla, BM Ram Revilla Bautista, and Sangguniang Panglungsod Members.
Senator Francis “TOL” Tolentino, a staunch advocate for cooperative development, delivered a keynote speech emphasizing the importance of cooperatives in empowering communities and driving economic progress. The event featured a Trade Fair and Exhibit, officially opened with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Attendees were treated to a diverse showcase of products and services offered by various cooperatives from across the province.
Several distinguished guests graced the occasion with their presence and insightful messages, including: BM Francisco Gabriel “Abeng” Remulla, Ms. Fe Regielyn Sobreviñas-Catibayan, Executive Director of UNECO, Mr. Jose Arnel S. Castillo, Cooperative Development Specialist II of CDA Region IVA, Dr. Jose R. Domingo Jr., Chairperson of Cavite PCDC, Hon. Francisco Paolo P. Crisostomo, SP Chair of the Committee on Cooperatives, Dir. Salvador Valfroso, Regional Director of Cooperative Region IV A, Mr. Alvin Mojica, Department Head of CPCDO, and Mr. Rodrigo Camia, Chairman Emeritus of PCDC.
The celebration concluded with a raffle draw, generously sponsored by BM Ram Revilla and BM Abeng Remulla, and overseen by Mayor Strike B. Revilla. The event was held at the Strike Gymnasium, showcasing Bacoor City’s commitment to fostering a vibrant and supportive cooperative environment.
