Bacoor City, July 28, 2025 — The City Government of Bacoor, led by Mayor Strike B. Revilla and Vice Mayor Rowena Bautista Mendiola, successfully hosted a flag raising ceremony at the Bacoor Strike Gymnasium, Bacoor Government Center. The event was attended by members of the Sangguniang Panglungsod, city employees, and various community representatives.
The solemn program began with an opening prayer led by the Bacoor City Transformation Office, followed by the entrance of the colors by BFP Bacoor personnel and the Philippine National Anthem performed by the Bacoor Unity Band. Key highlights included the Panunumpa sa Watawat led by Ms. Josephine Talay, Panunumpa ng Lingkod Bayan by Dante Rubio, Panata sa Bagong Pilipinas delivered by Ms. Rosemalyn Almeda, and the Quality Policy Statement presented by Ms. Fe Discaya. The Bagong Pilipinas Hymn, Cavite Hymn, and Bacoor Hymn were beautifully rendered by the Bacoor Hope Children’s Chorus.
Further highlights featured opening remarks by Hon. Manolo S. Galvez, City Councillor of Bacoor District 1, an announcement from COMELEC Bacoor by Atty. Jastine Marie Dela Cruz, and the presentation and awarding of Latin Honor and Special Awardees. Mr. Richard T. Quion, head of the Bacoor Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, presented the office’s accomplishment report, followed by the awarding of plaques to NDRM partners. An intermission number was performed by BDRRMO staff, and fiber boats were officially awarded and turned over to the LGU Bacoor by the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources through the Office of the City Agriculturist.
The ceremony concluded with a guest speech by RD Carlos Eduardo Ermita Alvarez III, Regional Director of the Office of Civil Defense – Calabarzon, and a special message from Mayor Strike B. Revilla. The event underscored Bacoor’s unwavering commitment to disaster preparedness, community resilience, and excellent public service.
