Bacoor City, February 28, 2025 – The City Government of Bacoor, led by Mayor Strike B. Revilla and Vice Mayor Rowena Bautista Mendiola, through the Office of the City Health Services (OCHS), successfully conducted a free skin consultation and medication program dubbed “Kilatis Kutis” today at the Mayor Arsenio Castillo Hall and Talaba Elementary School.
The program, in partnership with the Department of Health (DOH), Dr. Jose N. Rodriguez Memorial Hospital and Sanitarium, and the Provincial Health Office, aimed to provide accessible healthcare services to BacooreƱos, especially children, suffering from skin conditions. The event saw a strong turnout of residents seeking free consultations and medications, with a total of 117 patients receiving assistance.
OCHS personnel, led by Dra. Ivy Marie Yrastorza (OCHS Head) and Dra. Faye Fuayao, provided expert medical care. Dermatologists from Dr. Jose N. Rodriguez Memorial Hospital conducted free consultations for various skin diseases like psoriasis, skin asthma, bacterial and fungal infections. Free medicines were also provided to patients.
The Provincial Health Office contributed with Dr. Armand Dotollo, Haydelisa Maderazo (Nurse), and a Provincial Coordinator of Leprosy. Representing the Department of Health were Dr. Ma. Cristina Buenaagua (Regional Coordinator of Leprosy), Thea Monica Panganoron (Nurse), and Keshyl Mark Dela Trinidad (Med. Tech).
Barangay Officials of Talaba 3, led by Kap Emmanuel “Kirat” Trinidad, actively supported the program by mobilizing residents and ensuring a smooth flow of patients.
The “Kilatis Kutis” program showcases the City Government’s dedication to promoting health and wellness among its constituents. By providing free consultations and medications, the program aims to alleviate the burden of healthcare costs for those affected by skin conditions and ensure access to quality medical care.
