Bacoor City, May 19, 2025 – Bacoor City welcomed a delegation from South Korea today to begin a collaboration aimed at developing the city into a smart city. The visit, organized by the City Government under Mayor Strike B. Revilla through the Local Economic Development and Investment Promotion Office (LEDIPO) led by Ms. Khei Javier Sanchez, involved representatives from KIND (Nojun Park, Heain Lee), RMS (Yunho Lee, Youmi Jeon, Hyeonhwa Sim, Junwon Sung), Dohwa (Hyeri Ko, Dongeui Kim, Euiwon Jeon), and Yonsei University (Kabsung Kim, Sangyun Lee, Jaegyu Jung).
A Living Lab-related department workshop was held at the Kalasag Conference Hall, bringing together heads and representatives from CPDC, Zoning, City Engineering, BDRRMO, CESD, BTMD, Livelihood, HUDRD, MIS/E-Governance, and CICRD. Discussions focused on planning and strategies for Bacoor’s smart city transformation, incorporating the Korean delegates’ expertise and suggestions.
The collaboration with South Korea, through the Korea Overseas Infrastructure & Urban Development Corporation (KIND), will continue with various activities from May 19-22, 2025. The Korean delegation also paid a courtesy call on Vice Mayor Rowena Bautista Mendiola and conducted ocular inspections at several Bacoor Government Center departments. This marks a significant step in Bacoor City’s modernization efforts.
