Bacoor City, April 8, 2025 – The City Government of Bacoor, led by Mayor Strike B. Revilla, successfully relocated 50 informal settler families (ISF) today. The relocation effort, spearheaded by the Housing Urban Development & Resettlement Department (HUDRD) led by Atty. Aimee Torrefranca-Neri, in partnership with the National Housing Authority (NHA), provided the families with new homes and essential support.
The relocated families were comprised of those affected by a fire in Barangay Maliksi 2 and residents living along the coastline who were displaced due to the Clean Up Manila Bay Writ of Mandamus. The families were transported to their new homes in Savanna Ville, Barras Rizal, via free bus transportation. The City Government also provided each family with groceries, rice, financial assistance, and free transport for their belongings.
This relocation effort is a testament to the City Government’s commitment to providing assistance and support to those in need, particularly in the aftermath of disasters and in response to environmental regulations. The relocation project is part of the City’s ongoing efforts to address the issue of informal settlements and to ensure the safety and well-being of all BacooreƱos.
