Bacoor City, December 13, 2024 – The City Government of Bacoor, led by Mayor Strike B. Revilla and Vice Mayor Rowena Bautista Mendiola, yesterday (morning) distributed financial support to senior citizens residing in Barangays Zapote 1, 2, and 3. The event, organized by the Office of the Senior Citizens Affairs (OSCA) and the City Social Welfare and Development (CSWD) office, headed by Ms. Lilian Ugalde, was held at the Strike Gymnasium.
Mayor Strike B. Revilla, along with Sangguniang Panglungsod members and Team Revilla, personally handed out the financial assistance to the senior citizens. The event was also graced by Atty. Venus De Castro (OSCA Head), Ms. Nenita Reyes (Bacoor Senior Citizens Federation President), and Barangay officials led by Kapitana Vivian Gawaran Ramirez (Zapote 1) and Kap Edwin Torres (Zapote 2).
The financial assistance program, “Kalinga sa Matanda,” aims to provide support to senior citizens in Bacoor, recognizing their valuable contributions to the community. Joining the City Government in this initiative were Team Revilla led by Senator Ramon “BONG” Revilla Jr., Congwoman Lani Mercado Revilla, Cong. Bryan Revilla of Agimat Partylist, and Board Member Ram Revilla. Their presence underscores the family’s commitment to serving the needs of the elderly and ensuring their well-being.
The event was a testament to the City Government’s dedication to providing support and assistance to its senior citizens. The program serves as a symbol of respect and appreciation for the valuable contributions of the elderly to the community.
