Bacoor City, March 10, 2025 – The City Government of Bacoor, through the Office of the City Health Services (OCHS), took a significant step towards improving healthcare accessibility for its indigent residents today. A meeting was held at the Strike Conference Room with representatives from Mercury Drugs Corporation to discuss a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) that will provide discounts on medicines for those in need.
The meeting was attended by Mayor Strike B. Revilla, Dra. Ivy Marie Yrastorza, Head of OCHS, Atty. Kim Nyca Lofrangco, Head of the Office of the City Legal Service, and representatives from Mercury Drugs Corporation: Ms. Michelle V. Resco, Ms. Lisette Halili, Mr. Wynemar Mallaba, and Ms. Minnilea Ang. The MOA aims to establish a collaborative partnership between the City Government and Mercury Drugs Corporation, providing financial assistance to indigent residents in purchasing essential medicines.
The City Government will issue Guarantee Letters to qualified individuals, allowing them to avail discounts at Mercury Drug stores. This initiative is a testament to the City Government’s commitment to providing accessible and affordable healthcare for all Bacooreños. The partnership with Mercury Drugs Corporation will significantly ease the financial burden of purchasing medicines for indigent residents, ensuring that they have access to the necessary medication for their health and well-being.
This collaboration is expected to benefit a large number of indigent Bacooreños, providing them with much-needed relief and access to quality healthcare. The City Government of Bacoor remains committed to working with various partners to improve the lives of its residents.
