Bacoor City, November 15, 2024 – Bacoor City marked World Diabetes Day today with a series of health services and awareness activities at the Revilla Hall. The event was organized by the City Health Office, headed by Dr. Ivy Yrastorza, and brought together Bacooreños for a day focused on diabetes prevention and management.
The event was graced by Mayor Strike B. Revilla, who emphasized the importance of early detection and proper management of diabetes. Ms. Samantha Palilio, Agimat 2nd Nominee, also joined the event, highlighting the importance of healthy lifestyle choices in preventing diabetes.
Dr. Gina Aniceto, a Diabetologist, provided valuable insights into the disease, while Ms. Cristina Elalto, City Nutritionist Action Officer, discussed proper nutrition for individuals with diabetes.
The event offered free medical services, including medicine, laboratory tests, ECG, and eye check-ups. The City Health Office aims to raise awareness about diabetes and empower Bacooreños to take control of their health.
