Bacoor City, March 13, 2025 – Bacoor City witnessed a momentous occasion today with the blessing of six new branches of the Regional Trial Court (RTC), a significant step towards enhancing the city’s justice system. The event, organized by the City Government of Bacoor under the leadership of Mayor Strike B. Revilla and the Regional Trial Court, was held at the 2nd floor of Main Square Mall.
The ceremony was graced by a distinguished roster of VIPs. Mayor Strike B. Revilla himself led the city officials, including members of the Sangguniang Panglungsod and his Team Revilla. The event was emceed by Dr. Abraham De Castro of PESO and Ms. Khei Sanchez of LEDIPO.
Representing the Supreme Court of the Philippines were Associate Justices Jose Midas P. Marquez, Justice Rodil Zalameda, and Justice Jhosep Lopez. Also in attendance were Atty. Camille Sue Mae L. Ting, the Supreme Court spokesperson; Hon. Raul Villanueva, Court Administrator; Hon. Leo Tolentino Madrazo, Deputy Court Administrator; and Prosecutor Miguel Gudio Jr., Senior Deputy State Prosecutor.
A significant number of judges from both the Regional Trial Court and the Municipal Trial Court also participated. Several RTC judges and MTC judges were present, including the Executive Judge of the RTC Bacoor, Hon. Amalia Gumapos-Ricablanca. Also present were Hon. Johnny Umpong (City Prosecutor Bacoor), Hon. Emie Villaria (City Prosecutor Imus), and Hon. Eric Mercado (Director II for Operation NCR, NBI).
The event drew a large crowd, including representatives from the RTC, MTC, MRCC Judges, Prosecutors, Liga ng Barangay, ABAKA, SK Federation, various Department and Unit Heads, and other guests.
The program featured a performance by the BOSRAK Band and an invocation led by Pastor Mike Bautista. Councilor Rey Palabrica delivered the welcome remarks, followed by a message from Hon. Amalia Gumapos-Ricablanca. Del Venize Olimba, a The Voice Kids of Bacoor alum, provided a special number. Mayor Strike B. Revilla delivered a message and AVP presentation, while Associate Justice Rodil V. Zalameda, representing Chief Justice Alexander G. Gesmundo of the Supreme Court, also gave a message. The second part of the ceremony culminated in the blessing proper, officiated by Rev. Fr. Leonardo Bagos.
The purpose of the event was to bless the six new RTC branches (Branches 114-119), which cover a total area of 835 square meters. These branches were funded by the City Government of Bacoor to expedite judicial processes. Mayor Revilla also announced plans to establish a Fiscal Office and a PAO Office within the same building.
Furthermore, Mayor Revilla revealed plans for a proposed permanent Hall of Justice to be constructed on a 7,000-square meter lot acquired by the city government on Niog Road. A 2,000-square meter portion will be donated to the Supreme Court for the construction of the Hall of Justice, while the remaining area will house the BIR, Probation Office, and DITC. Mayor Revilla emphasized that these projects are intended to benefit not only the residents of Bacoor but all Filipinos. “In Bacoor, we don’t just aim for ‘okay,’ we strive for ‘okay na okay’,” he stated, highlighting the city’s commitment to excellence.
