In line with its commitment to inclusive governance, the City Government of Bacoor, under the leadership of Mayor Strike B. Revilla, proudly hosts a whole-day Focus Group Discussion on Gender-Responsive Real Property Taxation in partnership with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the Bureau of Local Government Finance (BLGF).
Held on April 11, 2025 at the Gawaran Hall, Bacoor City Hall, this event brings together representatives from our City Government and local taxpayers to promote equitable and inclusive taxation systems that reflect both women’s and men’s perspectives.
Through the Equanomics initiative, this dialogue aims to integrate gender equality into local fiscal policies, particularly under the Real Property Valuation and Assessment Reform Act (RPVARA). The activity also includes discussions on accessibility of tax information, fairness of existing systems, and available incentives from a gender lens.
We thank the UNDP for choosing Bacoor as an FGD site in recognition of our continued efforts in participatory governance and innovation in public financial management.
