In a heartwarming display of community care, the City Health Office of Bacoor, led by Dra. Ivy Marie Yrastorza, conducted a successful medical mission yesterday, September 13, 2024, at the Bulwagan ng Liga ng mga Barangay. The event, spearheaded by the 24/7 Mayor Strike B. Revilla, aimed to ensure the health and well-being of the city’s senior citizens.
The mission provided free pneumonia vaccines to 300 senior citizens, a crucial step in protecting them from this potentially serious illness. Additionally, 150 individuals received free medical consultations and medicine, addressing various health concerns.
Mayor Revilla, along with Atty. Venus De Castro, Head of the Office of the Senior Citizens Affairs (OSCA), graced the event, highlighting the city’s commitment to its senior citizens. “We want to ensure that our beloved Lolos and Lolas are safe, strong, and healthy in Bacoor,” Mayor Revilla emphasized.
The medical mission was a testament to the city’s dedication to providing accessible healthcare services to its residents, particularly its most vulnerable population. The event was met with gratitude and appreciation from the participating senior citizens, who lauded the city’s efforts in prioritizing their health and well-being.
