Bacoor City government officials led by Mayor Lani Mercado Revilla met with representatives from the Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) and Light Rail Manila Corporation (LRMC) regarding developments in the Light Rail Transit Line 1 Cavite Extension Project. The 11.7-kilometer Cavite extension will have eight new stations, running all the way to Niog in Bacoor. These stations are Aseana, MIA, Asia World, Ninoy Aquino, Dr Santos, Las Piñas, Zapote, and Niog. In the meeting, LRTA and LRMC representatives said construction in Bacoor will start in the middle of 2020, with the project set for completion by 2022.
