The City Government of Bacoor, led by Mayor Strike B. Revilla, has extended a helping hand to 210 fire victims from different barangays in the city through the TUPAD (Tulong Pangkabuhayan sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers) program. The orientation and contract signing ceremony took place on September 20, 2024, at the main lobby of the Bacoor Government Center.
The event was organized by the Bacoor Public Employment Service Office (PESO Bacoor) in collaboration with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Provincial Office of Cavite. Mayor Revilla, PESO head Doc Abraham De Castro, and Tupad coordinators Ms. Bea Patricia Boneo and Ms. Isidora PereƱa were present to welcome the beneficiaries and highlight the importance of the program.
The TUPAD program aims to provide temporary employment opportunities to individuals who have lost their jobs or livelihood due to unforeseen circumstances, such as fire. The program offers a 10-day work engagement, providing financial assistance and a chance to regain stability.
The orientation provided the fire victims with information about the program’s requirements, benefits, and work assignments. The contract signing marked the official commencement of their participation in the TUPAD program.
This initiative demonstrates the City Government of Bacoor’s dedication to providing immediate assistance and fostering resilience among its residents. The TUPAD program serves as a crucial lifeline for those who have been displaced by fire, offering a path towards recovery and economic stability.
