Bacoor City- In observance of World TB Day, the City Government of Bacoor, led by Mayor Strike B. Revilla, through the Office of the City Health Services (OCHS) headed by Dra. Ivy Yrastorza, conducted a nationwide tuberculosis active case finding campaign utilizing the Strike Mobile Clinic.
The campaign aimed to raise awareness about tuberculosis and to identify individuals with the disease for early diagnosis and treatment. OCHS personnel, in collaboration with Barangay Officials of Ligas 1 led by Kap George “TOTO” Medina and Queens Row East led by Kap Teodore Montes, conducted screenings and chest X-rays for residents.
On March 25, the campaign took place at Coastal Woods in Ligas 1, where 53 patients were screened and underwent chest X-rays using the Strike Mobile Clinic. On March 26, the campaign continued at the Barangay Hall of Queens Row East, with 48 patients screened and undergoing chest X-rays using the mobile clinic.
The City Government of Bacoor is committed to combating tuberculosis and ensuring the health and well-being of its citizens. The active case finding campaign, facilitated by the Strike Mobile Clinic, is a crucial step in achieving this goal, allowing for early detection and treatment, which significantly improves the chances of a successful recovery.
