Bacoor City, Cavite – On June 23, 2025, the City Government of Bacoor, led by Mayor Strike B. Revilla and Vice Mayor Rowena Bautista Mendiola, commemorated its 13th founding anniversary with a vibrant flag-raising ceremony at the Strike Gymnasium. The event, organized by the Bacoor City Culture, History, Arts, and Tourism Office (BCCHATO) and Samahan ng Mabubuting Pilipino Incorporated (SNAMPI), brought together city officials, employees, and various community groups in a display of civic pride. The ceremony also included special recognition for Ms. Joy Balcoma, who represented Bacoor in the Ms. Philippines Earth 2025 pageant.
The ceremony commenced with opening prayers led by Rev. Fr. Calixto C. Lumandas, Rev. Fr. Ramoncito Tadepa, and Rev. Fr. Relito Pingul. Bacoor BJMP personnel presented the colors, followed by the singing of the Philippine National Anthem by the Bacoor Unity Band. Ms. Amely Namion led the Panunumpa sa Watawat ng Pilipinas, while Mr. Jesus Trinidad Jr. administered the Panunumpa ng Lingkod Bayan, and Mr. Gerriel Guinto delivered the Panata sa Bagong Pilipinas. Mr. Ronald Ocampo presented the Quality Policy Statement. The Bacoor Hope Children’s Chorus provided a captivating performance featuring the Bagong Pilipinas, Cavite, and Bacoor Hymns.
City Councilor from District 2, Hon. Reynaldo Palabrica, delivered opening remarks, setting the tone for a day filled with celebration and reflection. The event was attended by numerous distinguished guests, including Congresswoman Lani Mercado Revilla and Sangguniang Panglungsod members, alongside representatives from various departments, including DILG, PNP, BFP, BJMP, BTMD, DepEd Bacoor, OSCA, PWD, NGOs, 4Ps members, LnB, SK Federation, and TOAST awardees.
Adding to the festive atmosphere, the Atlas in Motion Dancers provided an intermission number. Mr. Edwin B. Guinto, head of BCCHATO, presented an accomplishment report via AVP. The guest speaker, DIR Mario Daga, Assistant Regional Director of the Department of Tourism (DOT-Calabarzon), shared insightful remarks. Further entertainment was provided by a multi-sectoral dance number featuring performances from BHOACI (2012-2014), ABAKA (2015-2026), NGOs (2017-2018), DepEd Bacoor (2019-2021), and LGBT Bacoor (2022-2025).
The ceremony included the awarding of Certificates of Recognition to individuals who have brought pride to Bacoor City, and the presentation of the “Seal of Child Friendly Local Governance” received by the city.
Mayor Strike B. Revilla concluded the event with a special message highlighting the city’s weekly accomplishments. The Banda El Gobernador provided a final special intermission number, bringing the day’s celebrations to a memorable close. The 13th founding anniversary served as a powerful testament to Bacoor City’s growth and the strong spirit of its community.
