The City Government of Bacoor, spearheaded by Mayor Strike B. Revilla and the Sangguniang Panglungsod under the leadership of Vice Mayor Rowena Bautista Mendiola, in collaboration with the Bacoor City Culture, History Arts & Tourism Department led by Edwin Guinto, orchestrated a dazzling event known as the “Arts In The City Concert.” This vibrant celebration was a testament to the city’s rich cultural heritage and artistic diversity.
The concert opened with a captivating performance by the After Work Dancers and the San Lorenzo Ruiz Band Majorette and Color Guard, setting the stage for an evening filled with musical brilliance. The lineup featured an array of talented artists, including Justine Joseph Arceo, Jean Antoinette Posadas, Del Venize Olimba, and Kurt Christian Urayan from The Voice Kids Bacoor, as well as Jhennie Fe Ochavillo, a Tawag ng Tanghalan S7 Semifinalist.
EJ Panganiban, an esteemed ABS-CBN Actor-Singer, graced the stage with a soul-stirring performance, followed by Jeff Cifra, a Himig Handog Grand Finalist and Fallseto Price. The concert also showcased the talents of Yolab, a dynamic hip-hop artist, along with Dear Dahlia’s indie-pop melodies, NaIV’s synth-pop trio, and the electrifying sounds of Autotelic, an indie-alternative rock band.
The highlight of the evening was the iconic OPM alternative rock band, Mayonnaise, delivering a memorable performance that resonated with the audience. As part of the Cityhood Anniversary celebrations, the concert culminated in a breathtaking fireworks display that illuminated the night sky and added a touch of grandeur to the event.
The “Arts In The City Concert” served as a fitting tribute to Bacoor City’s 12th Cityhood Anniversary, showcasing the city’s commitment to promoting culture, arts, and community spirit. The event took place on June 22, 2024, at the Nomo Parking Area, drawing a diverse audience to celebrate and revel in the city’s artistic talents and vibrant cultural scene.
