Bacoor City, March 9, 2025 – The City Government of Bacoor, under the leadership of Mayor Strike B. Revilla and Vice Mayor Rowena Bautista Mendiola, celebrated the achievements of young learners at the Bacoor Child Development Centers (CDC) with a moving-up ceremony yesterday. The event, themed “Munting Hakbang Tungo sa Maunlad na Kinabukasan,” was organized by the City Social Welfare and Development (CSWD) under the leadership of Ms. Liliane D.R. Ugalde, RSW.
The moving-up ceremony marked a significant milestone for the children who have been nurtured and educated at the CDCs, which were established to provide a safe and supportive environment for children of working parents. The CDCs cater to children aged 3-4.11 years old, offering a “substitute mothering” program that helps working mothers and fathers ensure their children receive quality care and early childhood development opportunities.
The ceremony featured a video message from Mayor Strike B. Revilla, Vice Mayor Rowena Bautista Mendiola, and Congresswoman Lani Mercado Revilla, highlighting the importance of early childhood education and the City Government’s commitment to supporting the development of Bacoor’s youngest residents.
The event included various highlights, such as the introduction of the children, the presentation of monthly activities undertaken at the CDCs for CY 2024-2025, and the awarding of certificates to the children. The “Salamat Po Award” was also presented, recognizing the dedication and hard work of the CDC staff.
The moving-up ceremony, held at the Strike Gymnasium, was a testament to the City Government’s commitment to providing quality early childhood education and care to the children of Bacoor. The event was a celebration of the children’s progress and a recognition of the vital role that the CDCs play in nurturing the future of Bacoor. A total of three batches of children successfully completed their program and moved on to the next stage of their education.
