Bacoor City, May 27, 2025 – The City Government of Bacoor, under the leadership of Mayor Strike B. Revilla, successfully conducted its annual “Libreng Binyag” program this morning at the Iglesia Filipina Independente (IFI) Cathedral of St. Michael The Archangel in Digman. A total of 189 children, nearing the 200 mark, received the sacrament of baptism, a testament to the LGU’s commitment to providing essential religious services to its constituents. The event was organized by the Office of the City Civil Registry (CCR), headed by Ms. Ma. Theresa Cameros, and involved the dedicated work of CCR staff.
The mass baptism was a joyous occasion, attended by Mayor Strike B. Revilla, Congresswoman Lani Mercado Revilla, Councilor Karen Sarino Evaristo, LnB Vice President Randy Francisco, and several other city officials. The ceremony was officiated by Fr. Monching Tadepa and Fr. Ruben Averilla, rektor and kanan of the Cathedral, respectively, with the assistance of lay readers Ms. Dindi Sanson and Ms. Jovie Castillo. The event was also supported by Cong. Bryan Revilla of Agimat Partylist and Cavite Vice Governor Ram Revilla Bautista.
Beyond the spiritual significance, the “Libreng Binyag” program underscores the Bacoor LGU’s dedication to serving its community and providing accessible services to all residents. The program’s success highlights the collaborative efforts of the city government, the church, and the families who participated. The event concluded with a fellowship gathering, further strengthening community bonds.
