Bacoor City, July 29, 2025 — The Provincial Government of Cavite, in partnership with the City Government of Bacoor, successfully distributed relief food packs to 1,200 fisherfolk beneficiaries from coastal barangays during an event held at the Strike Gymnasium. The initiative was made possible through the support of DILG Secretary Jonvic Remulla.
The distribution was led by Mayor Strike B. Revilla, Vice Mayor Rowena Bautista Mendiola, and Congresswoman Lani Mercado Revilla, alongside Mr. Allan Chua, head of the Office of Agricultural Services, and members of the Sangguniang Panglungsod. Bacoor PNP Chief Alexis A. Desamito was also present to ensure the orderly conduct of the event.
Representatives from the Provincial Government of Cavite included Governor Abeng Remulla, who emphasized the program “Mula Sa Bayan Para Sa Bayan,” Vice Governor Ram Revilla Bautista, Board Members Alde Pagulayan and Edwin Malvar, and PNP Provincial Director Ariel Red. The Office of the Provincial Social Workers and Development (PSWD), Bacoor City Social Welfare and Development (CSWD), City Agricultural Services, and barangay officials from coastal communities actively participated in the distribution.
Mayor Strike expressed gratitude to DILG Secretary Jonvic Remulla, Former Senator Ramon “BONG” Revilla Jr. and Agimat Partylist Representative Bryan Revilla for their unwavering support in providing assistance to the Bacoor fisherfolk. The event highlights the collaborative efforts of provincial and city governments in addressing the needs of vulnerable communities.
