In a heartwarming ceremony held yesterday, September 11, 2024, at the Strike Gymnasium, Bacoor City Mayor Strike B. Revilla officiated a mass wedding for 75 couples, offering them a “Libreng Kasal” (Free Wedding) program. The event was organized by the Office of the City Civil Registry, led by Ms. Ma. Theresa Cameros.
The ceremony was attended by a host of VIPs including Vice Mayor Rowena B. Mendiola, Congresswoman Lani M. Revilla, Councilors Reynaldo Palabrica, Levy Tela, Simplicio Dominguez, Adriel Gawaran, SK President Palm Angel Buncio, and LnB Vice President Randy Francisco.
The mass wedding, a testament to the city’s commitment to strengthening families and promoting unity, saw 75 couples exchange vows and embark on their journey as husband and wife. The “Libreng Kasal” program, which provides free wedding services to couples in Bacoor, aims to make marriage more accessible and affordable for all. Adding to the special day, the FLAG Federation of Lesbian and Gay provided free hair and makeup services for the brides, making the event even more memorable. The event was a celebration of love and commitment, bringing joy and happiness to the newly married couples and their families.
