A privately owned historical landmark that was once the headquarters of General Emilio Aguinaldo when he chose Bacoor to be the capital of the Philippine Revolutionary Government in 1898. This house was also the venue of the Bacoor Assembly that was held from August 1-6, 1898. Known as the “Solemn Proclamation of Independence by the People,” General Emilio Aguinaldo and his adviser, Apolinario Mabini warmly received around 200 municipal and provincial leaders from the 16 most populated provinces of the country to ceremoniously sign a document that declared the Filipino race as a free people. During the Aglipayan Schism, the masses and holy works of the Roman Catholic Church were transferred to the oratorio of Bahay na Tisa from December 1902 to 1907 under the pastorship of Reverend Father Julian Villavicencio.
