Bacoor City, July 8, 2025 — The City Engineering Office, led by Engr. Jicky Jutba and Mayor Strike B. Revilla, convened a meeting with representatives from the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), Meralco, and SM Bacoor at the SBR Conference Room to address issues concerning Meralco poles installed along Tirona Highway.
Mayor Revilla firmly prohibited the continuation of the project unless the poles obstructing pedestrian pathways are properly relocated. He emphasized the urgent need to repair the drainage system and strictly forbade the installation of poles within drainage areas to prevent flooding. Additionally, the mayor called for the organization and reduction of the tangled and excessive cable wires on the Meralco poles, highlighting the safety hazards posed by the overcrowded poles along the pathways.
The meeting underscores the city government’s commitment to ensuring public safety, proper infrastructure management, and flood prevention in Bacoor City.
