Taguig City, July 3, 2025 – The City Government of Bacoor, headed by Mayor Strike B. Revilla through the E-Governance Department and Management Information Systems (E-Gov/MIS) led by Mr. Lodgene Asuncion, met with DITC Undersecretary Atty. Christina Faye Condez – de Sagon, Chief of Staff of Secretary Henry R. Aguda, to finalize plans for the establishment of the DICT’s Digital Transportation Center in Bacoor. The center aims to provide ICT training and services, particularly for the youth, with the city pledging office space to support the project.
The meeting also discussed the donation of a lot by Bacoor for the construction of a DICT building to bring government digital services closer to the residents. This initiative reflects the city’s commitment to enhancing access to technology and digital resources for its constituents.
As part of their collaboration, they explored piloting an Information System for barangays, health centers, and schools to streamline and safeguard individual records. Bacoor’s current Barangay Information System will be shared with the DICT to help improve and expand its use nationwide. Aside from these, other matters related to the partnership between the Bacoor LGU and DICT were also discussed to further enhance services and programs for the community under Mayor Strike’s leadership.
