Bacoor City, June 20, 2025 – The City Government of Bacoor, under Mayor Strike B. Revilla, and the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) today distributed payments to parents participating in the “Tara, Basa!” tutoring program (“Dahil sa Pagbasa May Pag-asa, Kaya Tara, Basa!”). The program, funded by DSWD and supported by the Bacoor LGU, aims to enhance literacy skills among 1,300 students through active parental involvement. The payout, held at Revilla Hall, involved DSWD and CSWD personnel assisting with the distribution to the participating parents and their children.
The “Tara, Basa!” initiative underscores the commitment of both the city government and DSWD to improving literacy rates in Bacoor by empowering parents to actively participate in their children’s education. The program’s success relies heavily on the collaborative efforts of parents, teachers, and local government units.
