Bacoor City, May 26, 2025 – The City Government of Bacoor, led by Mayor Strike B. Revilla and Vice Mayor Rowena Bautista Mendiola, held a significant flag-raising ceremony today, hosted by the City Engineering Office at the Strike Gymnasium. The ceremony was attended by Sangguniang Panglungsod members and numerous city officials and employees.
The ceremony featured a moving rendition of the Philippine National Anthem by the Bacoor Unity Band, with the Panunumpa sa Watawat ng Pilipinas led by Mr. Christian Arol Barit, the Panunumpa ng Lingkod Bayan by Engr. Charlotte Aldave, and the Panata sa Bagong Pilipinas by Ms. Andra Mae Lopez. Engr. Renzo Rivera delivered the Quality Policy Statement, while Queen Row Elementary School performed the AVP of Bagong Pilipinas, Cavite Hymn, and Bacoor Hymn. City Councilor Ley Tela from District 1 delivered opening remarks.
A highlight of the ceremony was the ceremonial turnover of financial assistance and relief goods to fire victims from Barangays Queen’s Row Central, Molino 1, Zapote 3, and Molino 4. Michael Ver Comaling, Bacoor City Sports Director, was also recognized for winning a gold medal in Modern Pentathlon in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. Engr. Jicky Jutba presented the Engineering Office’s accomplishment report. Assistant Regional Director Ard Joel F. Limpengco of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) served as guest speaker, and Mayor Revilla concluded the ceremony with a special message and weekly accomplishment report. Musical performances by City Engineering Office staff and Banda El Gobernador added to the event’s celebratory atmosphere.
