Bacoor City, May 25, 2025 – Banda El Gobernador, a renowned marching band from Bacoor City, paid a courtesy visit to Mayor Strike B. Revilla today. The visit, organized by Mr. Edwin Guinto of the Bacoor City Department of Tourism and Cultural Affairs and Atty. Edith Napalan of the City Finance Department, was to express gratitude for the city government’s support. Maestro Jesse S. San Miguel led the band members in thanking Mayor Strike for the LGU’s full support as they prepare for a significant event.
Banda El Gobernador has been invited to represent the Philippines as the “Marching Band of the Philippines” at the 127th Philippine Independence Anniversary Commemoration in New York City on June 1, 2025. They will be performing on Madison Avenue between 38th and 27th Streets.
Mayor Strike B. Revilla confirmed his attendance at the New York City event, highlighting the City Government of Bacoor’s commitment to supporting the band’s international representation. The performance promises to be a vibrant celebration of Philippine independence.
