Bacoor City, May 5, 2025 – Twelve individuals with disabilities (PWDs) received free hearing aids today at the Strike Gymnasium, thanks to the collaborative efforts of the Alliance of PWD in Cavite Inc., the City Government of Bacoor’s Person with Disability Office (PDAO), and the Federation of PWD Bacoor. The event was organized by the Alliance of PWD in Cavite Inc., with support from the City Government.
Mayor Strike B. Revilla, a staunch advocate for the rights and welfare of PWDs, was present to witness the awarding of the hearing aids. The hearing aids were provided by Audibly Hearing Aide Service, owned by Mr. Ariel Pelaez, and funded by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Batasan and the Office of the President, through the efforts of the Alliance of PWD in Cavite Inc.
The Alliance of PWD in Cavite Inc., led by President Ms. Rhoanne Torres, Vice President Ms. Imelda Trinilia, Secretary Mr. Richard Palma, and Treasurer Ms. Lilia Paras, expressed their gratitude to Mayor Revilla for his unwavering support for PWDs in Bacoor and for the Alliance’s initiatives. As a token of appreciation, Mayor Strike B. Revilla was presented with a Certificate of Recognition for his dedication to empowering PWDs.
The awarding of hearing aids marks a significant step towards improving the quality of life for PWDs in Bacoor, enabling them to better participate in society and lead fulfilling lives. The event also highlights the importance of collaboration between government agencies, non-profit organizations, and private entities in supporting the needs of PWDs.
