Bacoor City, April 14, 2025 – Mayor Strike B. Revilla welcomed two Bacooreño athletes, Lenard Rigel II Torreno Lancero and Patrick Daniel Abis, today at the Mayor’s Office. The two players, representing Barangay Aniban 1 and Barangay Molino 3 respectively, are part of the Philippine National Ice Hockey Team set to compete in the 2025 World Ice Hockey Championship in Querétaro, Mexico.
Accompanied by Mrs. Cheryl Torreno-Lancero and Ms. CharmLet Torreno, as well as the father of Patrick Daniel Abis, the athletes received a warm welcome from Mayor Strike B. Revilla, who expressed his pride and support for their upcoming competition.
Lenard and Patrick are among the 16 players chosen to represent the Philippines in the Division III Group B tournament, which will take place from April 27 to May 3, 2025. The athletes are set to depart for Mexico on April 22, 2025. Mayor Strike wished them the best of luck in the upcoming championship, highlighting their dedication and commitment to representing Bacoor City and the Philippines on the international stage.
