Bacoor City, April 7, 2025 – The City Government of Bacoor, led by Mayor Strike B. Revilla and Vice Mayor Rowena Bautista Mendiola, held a flag raising ceremony at the Strike Gymnasium today, highlighting the city’s commitment to community development and recognizing the achievements of its residents.
The ceremony was organized by the Housing Urban Development and Resettlement Department (HUDRD) in collaboration with the Strike Omega Radio Communication Group. It was attended by a diverse group of participants, including city officials, department heads, employees, representatives from various agencies (DILG, PNP, BFP, BJMP, BTMD, DepEd Bacoor), NGOs, 4P’s members, LnB, SK Federation, ABAKA, and OSCA and PWD members.
The ceremony began with opening prayers led by the Bacoor City Transformation Office, followed by the entrance of the color guard, composed of BFP Bacoor personnel. The Philippine National Anthem was performed by the Bacoor Unity Band, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance to the Philippine Flag recited by Ms. Trina Tabirao. Ms. Fe Eras led the Pledge of the Public Servant, and Ms. Grace Luciano recited the Pledge to a New Philippines. Ms. Leslie Dufourt presented the Quality Policy Statement.
The ceremony continued with an AVP showcasing the Bagong Pilipinas, Cavite Hymn, and Bacoor Hymn, performed by students from Queensrow Elementary School. Hon. Reynaldo Palabrica, City Councilor from District 2, delivered the opening remarks.
The Strike Omega Radio Communication Group provided an intermission number, followed by the presentation and awarding of the following:
– Academic Excellence: Ms. Lyka Jade Naelgas, a Cum Laude graduate from Cavite State University – Imus Campus, She majored in Business Management with a specialization in Marketing Management and hails from Barangay Habay 2.
– Science and Robotics Achievements: Students from Bacoor City were recognized for their outstanding performance at the 21st National Science Quest 2025 held in Baguio City. The awards included:
– Science Research Fair Applied Science – Individual Category (3rd Place): Rynn Vynzynt Cabrera
– Science Research Fair Applied Science – Team Category (3rd Place): Maria Cecilia Reyes, Chalice Banda, and Rynn Vynzynt Cabrera
– Robotics Team: Josiah Calderon, Christine Monares, Dave Christian Bautista, Ciena Marie Dimaandal, and Mikas Tiongson achieved multiple first, second, and third-place finishes in various categories, including Line Tracing, Sumobot, and Balloon Popping.
The event also included the launch of the Strike of Wellness Score Challenge, presented by Mr. Julius Mondala, Business Development Officer of MWELL. Inspiring messages were delivered by Assistant Secretary Darylln Bryan L. Villanueva from the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) and Atty. Fidel Exconde Jr., Commissioner of the Human Settlement Adjudication Commission (HSAC).
The ceremony concluded with Mayor Strike B. Revilla’s weekly accomplishment report, sharing updates on the city’s progress and initiatives. He emphasized the City Government’s commitment to building a brighter future for Bacoor.
The flag raising ceremony served as a platform to celebrate the city’s achievements, acknowledge the contributions of its residents, and reaffirm the City Government’s commitment to building a brighter future for Bacoor.
