Bacoor City, March 14, 2025 – The City Government of Bacoor, under the leadership of Mayor Strike B. Revilla and Vice Mayor Rowena Bautista Mendiola, through the City Health Services (OCHS), today held a free cervical cancer screening event at Revilla Hall in celebration of National Women’s Month. Over 300 Bacooreño women benefitted from this vital initiative, receiving free Pap Smear and Visual Inspection with Acetic Acid (VIA) screenings.
The event was graced by the presence of Mayor Strike B. Revilla, Pastor Mike Bautista, and Dra. Ivy Marie Yrastorza, OCHS Head. OCHS midwives and nurses, along with intern doctors from the University of Perpetual Help Medical Center, provided the screenings.
The free cervical cancer screening initiative is a testament to the City Government’s commitment to promoting women’s health and well-being. Early detection of cervical cancer is crucial for successful treatment, and the City Government aims to ensure that all Bacooreño women have access to this vital healthcare service.
The event was a resounding success, with a large turnout of women eager to avail themselves of the free screenings. The City Government of Bacoor continues to prioritize women’s health and will continue to offer such initiatives throughout the year.
