Bacoor City, February 27, 2025 – The City Government of Bacoor, through the Housing Urban Development & Resettlement Department (HUDRD), held a meeting with representatives from the Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) today to discuss updates on the LRT 1 South Extension project and relocation plans for affected families.
The meeting, held at the Strike Conference Room, was led by Mayor Strike B. Revilla and City Administrator Atty. Aimee Torrefrangca Neri, HUDRD Head. HUDRD personnel Arch. Lei Macabudbud and Mr. Rodel Fernando, as well as Ms. Lilian Ugalde, CSWD Head, were also present.
The LRTA delegation was led by Atty. Hernando Cabrera, LRTA Administrator, and included Engr. Joseph Dexter Buenconsejo and Ms. Rechelle Cacatian.
The meeting focused on the status of the LRT 1 South Extension project in Bacoor and the planned relocation of Informal Settler Families (ISF) affected by the construction. Discussions centered on how the City Government and LRTA will collaborate to ensure the safe relocation of affected families and provide them with adequate housing solutions.
The meeting underscores the City Government’s commitment to addressing the needs of the community and ensuring a smooth and humane relocation process for those affected by the LRT 1 South Extension project.
