Bacoor City, February 17, 2025 – The City Government of Bacoor, under the leadership of Mayor Strike B. Revilla, continued its commitment to road safety and driver education with the second batch of its “Free Student Driver’s Permit for Bacooreños” program. The training, held at the Revilla Hall, was organized in partnership with the SK Federation, led by SK President Palm Angel Buncio, the Liga ng Barangay (LnB), and the Land Transportation Office (LTO).
The event saw 200 Bacooreños participate in the comprehensive training, conducted by experienced driving skills raters Mr. Garry Villanueva from Imus and Mr. Yrolle Baren from the LTO Bacoor District Office. This second batch is part of a larger program aimed at providing free student driver’s permits to 1,500 Bacooreños, a groundbreaking initiative that makes Bacoor the first city in the Philippines to offer this service free of charge.
Mayor Strike B. Revilla, Congrewoman Lani Mercado Revilla, LNB Vice President Randy Francisco, and SK Federation officials were present to show their support for the program. The training focused on providing participants with essential knowledge and skills to become safe and responsible drivers.
This initiative is a testament to the City Government’s dedication to promoting road safety and empowering Bacooreños with the necessary skills to navigate the roads confidently and responsibly. The “Free Student Driver’s Permit for Bacooreños” program is a significant step towards creating a safer and more driver-friendly environment within the city.
