Bacoor City, February 17, 2025 – The City Government of Bacoor, led by Mayor Strike B. Revilla and Vice Mayor Rowena Bautista Mendiola, today distributed financial assistance to 85 Informal Settler Families (ISF) affected by government infrastructure projects and the Supreme Court Mandamus on Manila Bay cleanup. The distribution, spearheaded by the Housing Urban Development & Resettlement Department (HUDRD) under the leadership of Atty. Aimee Torrefrangca-Neri, took place at the Strike Gymnasium.
The beneficiaries included 59 ISF families from Barangay Zapote 1 and 4 ISF families from Barangay Talaba 3, all affected by government infrastructure projects. Additionally, 22 ISF families from Barangay Zapote 3, affected by the Supreme Court Mandamus on Manila Bay cleanup, also received assistance.
Mayor Strike B. Revilla personally expressed his gratitude to the affected families and highlighted the City Government’s commitment to providing support and assistance. He emphasized the efforts undertaken by the City Government, including his personal visit to the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) to ensure that affected families receive proper housing solutions.
The financial assistance provided by the City Government of Bacoor aims to alleviate the immediate needs of the affected families and provide them with much-needed support during this challenging time. The City Government remains dedicated to working with all stakeholders to ensure that the rights and welfare of all residents are protected and that they receive the necessary assistance to rebuild their lives.
