Bacoor City, February 17, 2025 – The City Government of Bacoor, led by Mayor Strike B. Revilla, hosted a flag raising ceremony at the Strike Gymnasium. The event, organized in partnership with the Business Permit and Licensing Department (BPLD) and Bro-Guardian, showcased the city’s commitment to service and excellence.
The ceremony was attended by a diverse group of participants, including Sangguniang Panglungsod members, department heads and unit heads led by Atty. Aimee Torrefrangca Neri, city employees, DILG family, PNP/BFP/BJMP/BTMD, DepEd Bacoor, OSCA members, PWD representatives, NGOs, and 4P’s members.
The ceremony commenced with an opening prayer led by the City Transportation Office, followed by the entrance of the color guard composed of PNPA personnel. The Philippine National Anthem was played as a video, followed by the recitation of the Panunumpa sa Watawat ng Pilipinas by Bro-Guardian and the Panunumpa ng Lingkod Bayan by Ms. Shirley Anne Gomez. Mr. Herminio Garcia III led the Panata sa Bagong Pilipinas, and Mr. Bei Jhay Bombita presented the Quality Policy Statement. The Herman Harrell Horne School performed the Bagong Pilipinas, Cavite Hymn, and Bacoor Hymn.
Hon. Rey Fabian, City Councilor of Bacoor – District 2, delivered the opening remarks, highlighting the importance of public service and unity. The ceremony also recognized the achievements of several outstanding individuals: Ms. Nicole T. MariƱas (Barangay Ligas 1), Ms. Anne Venice V. Panigbatan (Barangay Poblacion), Ms. Jollibee E. Pangindian (Barangay Sinbanali), and Ms. Angelu C. De Rosas (Barangay P.F. Espiritu). All four received Certificates of Recognition for their academic achievements as Cum Laude graduates.
The City of Bacoor, represented by the City Civil Registrar Office headed by Ms. Theresa Cameros, was also awarded the 3rd Place – Super Extra Large Category in the 2023 CALABARZON Outstanding Local Civil Registry Office (LCRO’s) competition, presented by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA). Mr. Lawrence San Jose, head of the BPLD, presented an Accomplishment Report highlighting the department’s achievements.
Dr. Kark Joseph D. Sanmocte, Regional Chief of the Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA) – Southern Luzon, delivered a special message, emphasizing the importance of efficient and transparent government service. The ceremony concluded with an intermission number performed by BPLD staff and a special message from Mayor Strike B. Revilla, outlining the City Government’s weekly accomplishments.
The flag raising ceremony served as a powerful reminder of the City Government’s commitment to serving the people of Bacoor, fostering a culture of excellence, and working towards a brighter future for the city.
