Bacoor City, February 15, 2025 – The City Government of Bacoor, led by Mayor Strike B. Revilla, in partnership with Sing Bacoor and Rise as 1 Choir Organization (SBR1), Hope In Me Club, and DepEd, today hosted a cultural workshop featuring the Kontra- Gapi Cultural Ensemble. The event, held at the Revilla Hall from 9:00 AM to 12:00 NN, aimed to celebrate National Arts Month and provide a unique learning experience for students and teachers from both public and private schools in Bacoor.
The workshop focused on traditional Filipino music and choir, led by Dra. Cristina Alberto, Founder/Adviser of SBR1. The event was graced by SBR1 officials with President Kristopher Arevalo and VP Gina Villanueva. Participants included teachers and students from 25 public schools and 19 private schools in Bacoor. Mayor Strike B. Revilla and Cong. Lani Mercado sent their video messages expressing support and praises to the activity and the group led by Dra. Alberto.
The workshop provided a valuable opportunity for participants to learn about Filipino musical traditions and enhance their choral skills. This initiative is a testament to the City Government’s commitment to promoting cultural awareness and enriching the artistic experiences of BacooreƱos.
