Bacoor City, February 10, 2025 – The City Government of Bacoor, led by Mayor Strike B. Revilla, hosted a flag-raising ceremony at the Strike Gymnasium, in partnership with the City of Bacoor Ministries Association Inc. The ceremony was attended by a diverse group of participants, including Sangguniang Panglungsod members led by Vice Mayor Rowena Bautista Mendiola, Team Revilla, Department Heads and Unit Heads led by Atty. Aimme Torrefrangca Neri, City Employees, DILG Family, PNP/BFP/BJMP/BTMD, DepEd Bacoor, OSCA Members, PWD representatives, and various NGOs.
The ceremony began with an opening prayer by Bishop Erickson Santos, followed by the entrance of the colors by BJMP Bacoor personnel. The Bacoor Unity Band performed the Philippine National Anthem, and Ms. Carmen Eusebio led the Panunumpa sa Watawat ng Pilipinas. Ms. Rowena Barco led the Panunumpa ng Lingkod Bayan, and Ms. Rowena Dela Cruz Tamayo led the Panata sa Bagong Pilipinas. Mr. Zsanel Aaron Celestino presented the Quality Policy Statement. The Digman Elementary School performed the Bagong Pilipinas, Cavite Hymn, and Bacoor Hymn.
Hon. Adriel Gawaran, City Councilor of Bacoor – District 1, delivered the opening remarks. The City of Bacoor Ministries Association Inc. provided an intermission number. The ceremony included the presentation and awarding of Certificates of Recognition to outstanding students: Ms. Denise Angelene Crisostomo, Barangay Mambog 2 (Cum Laude); Ms. Christel Anne L. Ojano, Barangay Salinas 1 (Cum Laude); Mr. Jasmine Marie C. Galang, Barangay Molino 3 (Magna Cum Laude); and Ms. Krisnel Kane S. Papa, Barangay Salinas 1 (Summa Cum Laude).
DepEd Bacoor also presented Pride of the City of Bacoor awards to: Lineth Mikaela B. Muldez (1st Price Award: Guandong Hongkong Macau Greater Bay Area Mathematical Olympiad (BBB) 2024 heat round, Gold Award: Thailand International Mathematical Olympiad (TIMO) 2024, Gold Award: Hongkong International Science Olympiad (HKISO) 2024 Heat Round) and Kent Sage V. Hidalgo (Bronze Award: Thailand International Mathematical Olympiad (TIMO) 2024 Heat Round at Guandong – Hongkong – Macao Greater Bay Area (BBB) Heat Round, Gold Award (First Prize Winner): Big Day Bei Mathematic Olympiad (BBB)).
An Accomplishment Report from the City Civil Registrar Office, headed by Theresa Cameros, was presented through an AVP. Ms. Lucia Iraida A. Soneja, Chief Statistical Specialist of the Philippines Statistics Authority (PSA), Region IV-A, served as the guest speaker. The City Civil Registrar Staff provided an intermission number. Mayor Strike B. Revilla delivered a special message and presented a weekly accomplishment report.
The flag-raising ceremony served as a testament to the City Government of Bacoor’s commitment to public service, community engagement, and the pursuit of excellence in education.
