Bacoor City, February 3, 2025 – Mayor Strike B. Revilla led the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement ( MOA ) between the City Government of Bacoor and Philippine Transmarine Carriers Inc. (PTCI) today at the Strike Multipurpose Hall. The event was organized by the Local Youth Development Office, headed by Ms. Angie Cariaso, assisted by the City Legal Service Department, headed by Atty. Kim Nyca Lofranco.
The PTCI was represented by Capt. Ronald SJ Enrile, Head of PTCI Talent Acquisition Group, Program Manager Mr. Hector Manuel Jon C. Brizuela, PTCI, and Lead Program Officer Mr. Josh Christian P. McCarver.
The MOA aims to strengthen collaboration between the City Government and PTCI in supporting youth development initiatives, and DRRM activities.
“1st Quarter Batang Bacooreño Consultation Meeting” followed the signing of the MOA. The meeting was attended by the SBR-KKK members (multilateral fraternities and sororities), Local Youth Development Council, SK Federation Officers, Student Council, Youth and Youth-Serving organizations, together with City Administrator Atty. Aimee Neri, BDRRMO Dept. Head Mr. Richard Quion, CSWD Head Mrs. Emiliana Ugalde, Bacoor PNP Chief PLtCol John Paulo Carracedo, SK President Palm Buncio, Kuya Noly Galvez, Pastor Mike Bautista, and Mr. Horacio Brilliantes.
The consultation meeting focused on addressing the pressing issues of bullying and fraternity recruitment among high school students. Key initiatives discussed include strengthening barangay security by deploying barangay tanods to schools in Bacoor, establishing open communication channels with fraternities in Bacoor to address concerns and promote positive values among members, encouraging collaboration between youth organizations, student councils, and the City Government to address bullying and vandalism, and providing opportunities for youth to participate in community clean-up initiatives to demonstrate unity and responsibility.
Mayor Strike B. Revilla expressed his commitment to ensuring that all Bacooreño youth have access to quality education and a safe and supportive environment. The MOA signing and consultation meeting mark a significant step towards achieving this goal, fostering collaboration and empoweriCity Government of Bacoorll potential.
