January 20, 2017 marks the blessing and inauguration of the Bulwagan ng Liga ng mga Barangay, one of the new buildings located at the Bacoor Government Center Grounds in Brgy. Bayanan, City of Bacoor. This was led by City Mayor Lani Mercado-Revilla, Congressman Strike B. Revilla, Vice Mayor Karen Sarino and members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod. Together with the city officials, Hon. Victorio “Toto” Guerrero Jr. is the ABC President also attended the blessing and inauguration. He is also the Chairman of the Committee on Barangay Affairs.
The said building will be the center that oversees the supervisory function of barangays that takes part in peacekeeping activities and enhancing the leadership qualities of the barangay officials. This 2-storey building will be the new home of the Liga ng mga Barangay, Asosasyon ng mga Barangay Captains (ABC), Asosasyon ng mga Barangay Kagawad (ABAKA), Asosasyon ng mga Barangay Secretaries (ABS), Association of Barangay Treasurers (ABT), the Barangays and the Sangguniang Kabataan and be the venue for making sure that barangay officials are performing their duties and functions as mandated by the Local Government Code.
