Bacoor City, January 16, 2025 – Mayor Strike B. Revilla convened an emergency meeting with Barangay officials at the Revilla Hall to discuss updates on the 2024 Population and Housing Census (POPCEN) – Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) Operation in Bacoor.
The meeting was organized by the City Planning and Development Coordinating Office (CPDCO) headed by Ms. Rhowena D. Alcantara, in collaboration with the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA). The PSA delegation was led by Ms. Lucia Iraida Soneja, Chief Statistical Specialist.
The meeting was attended by Department Heads and Unit Heads led by Atty. Aimee T. Neri, Liga ng Barangay officials led by Board Member Rafael Paterno III and Councilor Randy Francisco, SK Federation members led by SK President Palm Angel Buncio, and representatives from ABAKA.
The meeting focused on providing updates on the ongoing census operation and enlisting the support of Barangay officials in ensuring the accuracy and completeness of the data collected. Mayor Strike B. Revilla emphasized the importance of the census in determining the accurate population of Bacoor, which will serve as the basis for allocating funds from the Bacoor LGU and the Barangays.
The meeting highlighted the City Government’s commitment to data-driven decision-making and its dedication to ensuring the well-being and progress of all BacooreƱos. The participation of Barangay officials, SK representatives, and ABAKA demonstrated the collaborative effort to ensure a successful census operation in Bacoor.
