Bacoor City, January 20, 2025 – The City Government of Bacoor, led by Mayor Strike B. Revilla, hosted a vibrant Flag Raising Ceremony at the Bacoor City Hall Main Lobby today, showcasing the city’s commitment to education, sports development, and community service. The event, organized by the Sports Development Unit and the Strike Foundation Incorporated (SFI), brought together a diverse group of attendees, including Sangguniang Panglungsod members led by Vice Mayor Rowena Bautista Mendiola, Department Heads, City Employees, representatives from DILG, PNP, BFP, BJMP, BTMD, DepEd Bacoor, OSCA, PWD, and various NGOs.
The ceremony was a celebration of national pride and community spirit, featuring inspiring performances and presentations. The Bacoor Unity Band played the Philippine National Anthem, while Ms. Virgie Rodriguez led the Panunumpa sa Watawat ng Pilipinas and Mr. Monchito Reyes led the Panunumpa ng Lingkod Bayan. The Bayanan Elementary School Choir delighted the audience with renditions of the Cavite Hymn, Bacoor Hymn, and “Bagong Pilipinas.”
A highlight of the ceremony was the awarding of Certificates of Recognition to seven outstanding Bacooreño students who achieved academic excellence:
– Shania B. Sarapuddin – Magna Cum Laude (Brgy. Habay 2) – Graduated with a Bachelor of Human Biology degree.
– Julie Ann B. Fariñas – Magna Cum Laude (Brgy. Maliks 2) – Graduated with a Bachelor of Education degree, majoring in English.
– Princess Maica B. Almayda – Cum Laude (Brgy. Molino 2) – Graduated with a Bachelor of Human Resource Management degree.
– Justine Rayamae F. Almeyda – Cum Laude (Brgy. Talaba 3) – Graduated with a Bachelor of Entrepreneurship degree.
– Jhon Lenard D. Insong – Cum Laude (Brgy. San Nicolas 2) – Graduated with a Bachelor of Psychology degree.
– Janelle Torregoza – Cum Laude (Barangay Mambog 1) – Graduated with a [Degree name].
– Cassandra Joanne P. Idefonso – Cum Laude (Panapaan 4) – Graduated with a Bachelor of Nursing degree.
The BJMP Bacoor Male Dormitory, headed by Jail Supt. Christopher R. Penilla, was also recognized for their outstanding contributions to the community. The Department of Education presented a Plaque of Recognition to Mayor Strike B. Revilla for his unwavering support for education in Bacoor.
The Sports Development Office, headed by Mr. Sidney Solis, presented an AVP highlighting their accomplishments. The event concluded with a special message from Mayor Strike B. Revilla, who shared his weekly accomplishment report and extended birthday greetings to Councilor Karen Sarino Evaristo.
The Flag Raising Ceremony served as a powerful reminder of the City Government’s dedication to fostering a vibrant and thriving community, where education, sports, and community service are valued and celebrated.
