Bacoor City, December 12, 2024 – The Bacoor City Jail held a graduation ceremony for 234 inmates who completed various skills and livelihood training programs. The event, organized by the City Government of Bacoor, led by Mayor Strike B. Revilla and Vice Mayor Rowena Bautista Mendiola, in partnership with the City Livelihood & Development Department and the Bacoor BJMP, celebrated the inmates’ achievements under the theme “EMPOWERING THE FUTURE, ADVANCING SKILLS FOR TOMORROW.”
The graduation ceremony was graced by several distinguished guests and speakers, including Coun. Rey Palabrica, Coun. Simplicio Dominguez, JSupt Christopher R. Penilla (Jail Warden, Male Dormitory), JInsp Joy Anne C. Pascual (Jail Warden, Female Dormitory), Ms. Carmelita Gawaran (City Livelihood Head), and Ms. Evangeline E. Plazo (Officer-in-Charge, TESDA Cavite).
The training programs included a diverse range of skills, such as Arts and Crafts using Recyclable Materials (both for male and female dormitories), Charcoal Making, Macrame, Beauty Therapy (Facial and Body Scrub), and Bread Making. The graduates, now equipped with new skills, are poised to contribute to their own rehabilitation and future employment prospects.
