Last November 25, 2024, this unit have introduced a New Jail Service Model and PDL pathway for reintegration using ICT. This is a concrete proof that in Bacoor City, jail time can still be a productive time with multistakeholder participation.
Under the leadership of JSUPT CHRISTOPHER R PENILLA, City Jail Warden, the signing of the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between the Bacoor City Jail Male Dormitory and the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) Region IV-A, represented by Ms. Mary Ann O Lacson, marks the establishment of a transformative partnership. With this new service model, the BCJ-MD, in partnership with DICT Cavite and other agencies, envisions providing individuals in the criminal justice system with the opportunity to transform their lives.
This momentous event would not have been possible without the invaluable contributions, presence, and support of Hon. Congressman Lani Mercado-Revilla, DICT-Cavite, and Agimat Partylist.
Through this collaborative effort, we believe that even during incarceration, individuals can cultivate skills that will empower them to reintegrate successfully into society and pursue meaningful careers. This partnership marks a significant step toward breaking the cycle of recidivism and fostering positive change in the lives of Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL).
